How It Works
Navigating radon concerns is straightforward with Martens Radon. From testing to installation, we guide you every step of the way.
Step 1: Get Your Home Measured
Schedule a professional radon test. We can perform this service, or you can use a DIY test kit.
Step 2: Determine Mitigation Needs
Radon is measured in picocuries per liter (pCi/L). The EPA recommends mitigation at 4 pCi/L or higher according to the EPA and is the level for action in Colorado residential transactions. The World Health Organizations suggests getting below 2.7 pCi/L for spaces you live in.
Step 3: Get Your System Cost
Every home is different – we start with a free on-site assessment, examining your foundation type, basement and/or crawlspace, layout, and electrical setup, and vacuum pipe routing.
Step 4: Install Mitigation System
If you are required to mitigate for a transaction or want to reduce risk for yourself and loved ones, we install the system.
Step 5: Verify System Function
After installation, we can retest to verify effectiveness. That ensures your system is working properly for your unique home. Some people just want a mitigation system installed and want to move on.
